Ubuntu is a free linux distribution available from [1]. It is designed to be a very easy to use linux distribution very suitable for people just getting their feet wet with linux.

One thing that may help you eventually submit bug reports is opening a command line terminal window. You should do this using the application menu in the upper left corner of the window:
