Since September 2000, these rules have been created by Geocaching HQ with input from the world’s geocachers and volunteers. As the world and the game change, we collectively examine and modify the rules. To preserve the game and the area where we play, it’s critical to abide by the geocaching rules. By establishing these rules, we hope to strike a balance between the rights and requirements of the geocaching community, landowners, and the environment, preserving geocaching for years to come.

Before hiding one, we advise you to locate at least 20 geocaches. You will learn how to give other geocachers a pleasurable experience more fully the more diversity of geocaches you find. In our Help Center, you may find more instructions on how to conceal caches.
